here are a few tips to help everyone who is interested in creating or buying SFX, look for "royalty free" sounds, if the company doesn't say "100% royalty free" stay away as you will be hit with a hidden fee. To help improve the audio, use denoise to remove unnecessary background noise. Use an EQ to remove frequencies and to properly layer the sounds together so they will sound like one cohesive sound, instead of 2 or 3 sounds laid on top of each other. All sounds will be recorded at different velocities, use a balance tool to make sure its doing exactly what you want, and that its not panning unnecessarily to one ear over the other. The next thing you want to do is focus on compression and research how to do compression, and finally use a limiter to make sure the sound is peaking exactly how and where you want it to, make sure the sound doesn't clip. Bonus tips, you can use mono for certain sounds, and stereo for others, widening the sound is also a good idea for grabbing attention to something, don't widen every sound or it will undo what you are going after. If you have access to tools that allow Sequencing, you will can build some very unique sound effects. The sound should be put in a "send" to reverb so it will sound more authentic and you will have to make sure it doesn't add unnecessary low end. Distortion is another tool that is useful for scary/dark sounds. Using a Filter can help you to create an underwater sound effect, if used properly you can create a powerful film riser or downriser. pink noise and white noise are also interesting effects that can be applied to make drone (not an aerial vehicle) sound effects. Using waveshapers can produce really strange and unique sfx. You can also get Izotope Vinyl for free, and Ozone Imager. A lot of great stuff costs tons of money, but to help ease the cost of things as a beginner, you can use splice to help budget yourself, its a rent to own service and you can cancel, or halt payments until you can afford the monthly payment which is fairly reasonable. I am currently using splice to pay for Serum and KSHMR Essentials. This is not a paid endorsement, and I gain nothing from writing this. Just want to help people out who may become overwhelmed by the costs of things.
that moan you do after finishing the sentences makes watching this video a whole new experience
Thanks so much for the tutorial. I want to use Audacity for my game, but I'm worried that it may mess up my sound chip. Has that part of Audacity been fixed?
I'm afraid to get ashamed of myself… I'm gonna try…

Reecord button. Not rehcord button. I was hoping to learn of a cool sound effect creator that lets you mess with frequencies.
